Activate your school’s licenses, invite teachers, and manage your plan in three quick steps.

Step 1: Activate licenses

After your purchase, you'll receive a unique activation link. Click this link to confirm your role as the license manager.

If you’re not logged in, you’ll be prompted to log in or create an account first.

If you’ll also use the platform as a teacher, you’ll need to join the plan using the invite link from step 2 after completing this setup.

Step 2: Invite teachers

After activation, you'll see your dashboard with a unique invitation link. Copy and share this link with all teachers who need access.

Tip: Share the teacher portal link (portal.wewillwrite.com) along with your invite link so teachers can bookmark it for future access.

Step 3: Teachers join with the invite link

When teachers click your invitation link, they'll be asked to join your school's plan. Teachers will log in or create an account, then automatically join your license plan.

New users will receive a welcome email with resources to help get them started.

Teachers won't need your invite link after joining. To start using the platform, they can bookmark our teacher portal at portal.wewillwrite.com

Managing licenses

Your dashboard is the central hub for overseeing licenses. From here, you can:

  • Track licenses: Monitor how many licenses are in use (e.g., 1 / 20 licenses used)

  • View teachers: See all teachers who have joined

  • Remove teachers: Click the trash can icon next to a teacher's name to free up their license for another user

Frequently Asked Questions

A teacher can't join the group. What should I do?

This typically happens when the teacher already has an active subscription through:

  • A personal license purchase

  • Existing membership in a group

Troubleshoot: Joining a License Group

Are the teacher's billing settings accessible?
Does it show an active subscription?
Does that email belong to your new group's license manager?

⚠️ Action Required

Cancel your current subscription, then contact support.

Since you have an active subscription, you'll need to cancel it first. After canceling, email us at so we can enable you to join your group license.

⚠️ Check Your Invitation Link

Make sure you're using the correct link format.

Your invitation link should begin with license.wewillwrite.com/join/

If your link includes /activate/ instead, that's the manager activation link. Ask your license manager to copy the correct invite link from license.wewillwrite.com

✓ Success! You're Already In

Good news: You're already in the group and don't need to do anything else.

From now on, just use portal.wewillwrite.com to access the platform. Bookmark that link for easy access!

⚠️ You're in a Different Group

You may have joined another group (e.g., you switched schools, or your district purchased for multiple schools and shared the wrong link).

Next steps:

  1. Reach out to the email displayed in your billing settings so they can remove you from their group
  2. If you can't quickly contact them, email us at and we'll help sort it out
